Lately, players have been losing out on opportunities at an alarming rate, and it has been on all levels of football. Recent incidents like the Javon Belcher (KC Chiefs) murder-suicide, have left the NFL and the football community scratching its head.
Football as a business model is already on unstable ground. When you consider the amount of attention and scrutiny the game is getting over head injuries, bad press for player behavior is the last thing the game wants!
Things work better when the game of football makes Billions and nobody gets hurt.
Especially off-the-field!
Football is the sport of choice for today’s sports fan by a landslide. Television ratings, stadium capacities, and apparel sales will quickly lead someone to that conclusion. But even with all of the success, football seems to be at a crossroads.
Our gladiators are losing their minds on and off the field. Literally!
