Even with NFL superstars, like Cam Newton and Aaron Rodgers, paying dues at the Junior College level, before they ever hit pay dirt. People are still under-educated about the opportunity that Junior College presents an athlete.

Maturity: Many high school seniors are only seventeen years old when they graduate, or they may be eighteen but a little immature. Junior College allows you to slow down the process of having to grow up. It’s a chance to make the transition from high school to college a lot smoother. People who transfer from Junior Colleges to four year universities are ready, prepared and know how to win!

Player Development: People go to Junior College for a reason. Whether it’s academic, athletic or social, Junior College inspires growth. For many players, they didn’t receive the offers they wanted out-of-high school because they may need to develop as a player. Some players need to gain weight, speed or get into a solid strength and conditioning program, to take their game to the next level. Great Junior College programs consistently produce scholarship offers for their players, due to the fact that they are devloped as people and players and ready to perform at the next level.

Student Development: Many football players receive college attention in high school, but can’t cash the check because they are not academically qualified by the NCAA or the school they want to attend. Good Junior College programs, will have tutors and academic advisors, who know how to get you ready for college. Take advantage and get ready to step up your game academically!
